Thank you for visiting.  I’ll explain a bit about myself and the aim of this website.  

I grew up in a stable family, with a mother, father and four children.  I was the third child.  We always went to government schools.   We were not committed Christians and did not go to church.  However, we did generally recognise biblical values.

Before I finished primary school, I did begin reading a book with Bible stories.  This was my first view of anything about God, and I started chatting with Him privately myself.  Years later on, at university, I attended a Christian group.  They encouraged me to find a good church to go to.  When I visited one church, the pastor preached all about being “born again”.  This was completely new to me.  I went out the front at the end with others to fully commit my life to God.  I was fully forgiven, and the Holy Spirit entered in.  Things really changed then!

I have continued to draw near to God, pray, and read His Word for over 40 years now.  Over this time, I have regularly attended church services in four different denominations.  My wife and I have run a home church group a few different times, helped with Sunday School for children, and filled some other roles.  Presently, I am doing a little preaching at our current church.

The Lord impressed on me to start this website.  I’m depending on Him to guide me in writing and posting short biblical devotions on various topics, usually one to three each week.  The devotions will be more of a conversational nature than the information included under the other menus.
