Faith

Titus 1:15
15 To the pure, all things are pure, but to those who
are corrupted and do not believe, nothing is pure. In
fact, both their minds and consciences are corrupted.

God is love. He longs to have a real, personal
friendship with us. However, many do not believe.
When Adam and Eve disobeyed in the Garden of
Eden, every part of their being was negatively
impacted. Each person inherits this fallen,
rebellious nature.

Satan, and the evil spirits he commands also
actively work to blind minds, and move people
away from God’s truth. The world resists God and
His ways. People attempt to find their own way.
The many religions, words tossed around, and
opposing books written etc. cause more
confusion, falsehood and deception. But God’s
truth is clearly stated in His Word, in scripture.
The Son (Jesus), through the crucifixion, gave
Himself as a perfect sacrifice, taking our
punishment for sin. He won everything we need
for a full life, living in truth and love. Those of a

contrite and humble spirit can respond when God
draws them and enables them to have faith.

Those who are ‘born again’, receive the Holy
Spirit. The Lord then helps them to depend on
Him, and grow in the things of His kingdom. They
truly know God, and have entered eternal life.

Love does not stand on twisted or incomplete
truth, or lies. God’s true children, live by faith in
Jesus as their Savior and Lord, and grow in the
things of His Kingdom.

Self-effort, self-denial, and human-devised
programs apart from God’s Spirit are impure or
selfish. This sounds harsh, but it’s true.

Maybe you are unsure about the God of the
Christian Bible. Be honest and make the effort to
investigate the scriptures for yourself. Ask Him to
reveal Himself to you. You also will come to faith.
